Metamorphosis, a healing arts service, provides whole person/whole family approaches to treating adults, and children with special needs. Its’ mission is to empower families with the tools to reach their highest level of potential. We utilize state of the art Physical Therapy techniques, Yoga practices, preventative approaches, and holistic methods. Our services are designed as adjunctive therapies, to complement center/school-based Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies. Services include CranioSacral Therapy, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Myofascial Release, Private Yoga Sessions for adults/children with or without special needs, Yoga classes for Adults, Caregivers with babies/toddlers, and YogaKids classes.
Profile and Credentials
Deborah W. Staley, PT, RYT, YKA, Metamorphosis’ founder, is a Physical Therapist and Registered Yoga Instructor with an extensive and varied background in the healing arts. She began her practice of yoga while in high school. Starting as an office and therapy assistant, a physical therapy intern while in college, and then as a licensed Physical Therapist Deborah has worked in the field of Physical Therapy for over a decade. Immediately after graduating she worked in a hospital/outpatient setting performing inpatient, orthopedic, and wound care services. She then worked for 6 years in a pediatric outpatient therapy clinic. While there, she treated children with a wide range of diagnoses, utilized a vast array of equipment, as well as many differing treatment techniques. In addition to traditional Physical Therapy techniques , she has been trained in NDT-based handling and facilitation, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Yoga for the Special Child. (TM). She is also a second degree level Reiki healer, and is a YogaKids Associate (YKA), training to become a YogaKids Certified Facilitator (CYKF). Memberships include: American Physical Therapy Association; Section on Pediatrics International Association of Yoga Therapists International Association of Healthcare Providers Florida Physical Therapy Association Southeastern Yoga Association (SEYA) NAMASTA (North American Studio Alliance) NDTA (NeuroDevelopmental Treatment Association)
Philosophy and Comments
Adults and children can benefit from Metamorphosis’ unique blend of services. Every family’s needs are special, and we create an individualized program specifically designed to assist you and your child achieve your goals. Yoga provides a non-competitive athletic activity for your child. Classes and private lessons are available for you and your child , depending on your child’s age and abilities. If your child is extremely active, a holistic plan combining yoga, sensory activities, and CranioSacral Therapy can be synthesized to help them relax and improve their attention span. The profound effects of Yoga, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and CranioSacral Therapy are available to children and adults as well.
Work Hours and Fee Schedule
Therapy sessions are scheduled on an individual basis. Private yoga sessions are available and also scheduled on an individual basis. Yoga classes are offered for the following groups;
Adults (All Levels)
Post-Natal (Non-crawling babies and their caregivers)
Creepers and Crawlers (Crawling babies with their caregivers)
Wigglers and Gigglers (Toddlers up to 3 years old with their caregivers)
