Aileen McKenna has been offering hands-on healing in Ottawa since 1993. She became the first Canadian certified Quantum-Touch instructor in July 2004. works with clients between the ages of 35 and 60 years of age, who are dealing with dissatisfaction in their daily lives, often with pain as a result of an injury, and generally feeling stuck in their daily lives. Working with a variety of hands-on energy and coaching tools, Aileen creates that space where change not only is quickly observed, but is palpably experienced. Aileen was initially introduced to the power of energy in healing for people and the earth, during a visit to the Findhorn Foundation in 1988 and she began her studies in 1992. Aileen is a polarity practitioner, a cranio-sacral practitioner, a certified aromatherapist and an Empathic Wellness Coach with a healing practice in Ottawa, and provides training and private sessions in Quantum-Touch therapy and Wellness coaching. She has also been trained in craniosacral biodynamics, Shamanism, channeling, and Silva Life Systems. She founded the Ottawa Healing Circle, the Water Energizing Project at Mooney’s Bay, co- founded the Kingston Healing Circle, and presented Quantum-Touch Therapy at Queen’s University at a conference on Truth, Sustainability, Self-Awareness and Holistic Wellness on April 2nd, 2005. Aileen McKenna is a certified Quantum-Touch® practitioner and instructor, offering private Quantum-Touch sessions, trainings, healing circles and distance healing in Ottawa, Ontario, and across Canada and abroad. Aileen has a background as an accountant and auditor in provincial, national and international organizations here in Canada and in Switzerland. While living and working in Switzerland, Aileen studied at the Geneva campus of Webster University, majoring in management, psychology, and refugee studies. While living in Europe, she regularly participated in expeditions in the high Swiss Alps, where she suffered an injury that took her on the round of doctors, physiotherapy and anti-inflammatory drugs that caused a severe adverse reaction. This was the beginning of an extensive search for alternative means to overcome illness, injury and disease. Contributing greatly to this search was the discovery of the Findhorn Foundation in the north of Scotland, where Aileen was introduced to alternative lifestyles, healing modalities and the innate healing talents existing in our hands. Most recently, Aileen was trained in Eco-Village Design,and Empathic Life coaching. Following training in Scotland, Aileen continued her search for alternative healing methods, and in 1991, she discovered energy work in the form polarity therapy, followed by studies in craniosacral biodynamics, aromatherapy, shamanism and pranic healing. Eleven years later, in October 2002, Aileen discovered Quantum-Touch therapy and knew that she had found her life’s work. She began offering video workshops in Ottawa, however, this process was sidetracked somewhat in February 2003, when she suffered a serious double fracture of her left ankle, requiring surgery and the insertion of a metal plate, pins and screws. Friends, who had taken the video workshop came to her assistance with Quantum-Touch®, not only speeding up the healing time, but also eliminating the need for any other physical therapy. In July 2004, Aileen became the first Quantum-Touch® instructor east of the Canadian rockies. Aileen regularly works with persons presenting with such chronic conditions as arthritis, repetitive strain syndrome, and back pain. However, more recently she has been seeing clients with old injuries, broken bones, and surgeries, particularly related to automobile accidents and other physical traumas. Reorganizing misalignments in the physical structure has become a particular focus of her work as well as clients with endometriosis, torn rotator cuff and sciatic pain. Clients are often overwhelmed by the results of their sessions and the speed with which Quantum-Touch creates results.Students in Aileen’s trainings emerge as highly sensitive practitioners whether they arrive as experienced energy workers or complete novices. At the weekly healing circles students share their experiences, ask questions and practice their work resulting in a high level of confidence in their abilities and success in their practices.Aileen has been doing energy work in her practice for more than 15 years, is an associate polarity practitioner and certified aromatherapist. Human beings are hard-wired for self-healing when provided with a supportive environment. I love to witness this phenomena in practice, and to observe the many wonderful miracles taking place in these Quantum-Touch sessions and classes. Animals respond instinctively to the energy, and I am always delighted to see my elderly dog bask in the work in my therapy room, and my indoor and outdoor gardens are lush through the year as a result of the energy emanating from this environment. We are all healers, and with the knowledge that we can do this work, everyone is empowered to provide healing touch to their family, friends, clients, plants and their pets.
