Dr. Ellen Feingold, MD

Description

Dr. Ellen Feingold, M.D., is a physician homeopath, utilizing homeopathy, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplments to treat persons of all ages in her private office. Although she treats all ailments, she has a particularly good track record in treating those chronic diseases that Western medicine has not been able to cure, such as, eating disorders, obesity, fibromyalgia, depression, asthma, eczema, sinus infections, and many, many more. The office is located at 410 Foulk Rd. Suite 202, Wilmington, DE, 19803. Telephone 302 764 1882.

Profile and Credentials

Dr. Ellen Feingold has been practicing medicine as a MD physician, for 34 years. She graduated from Cornell University with a BS in 1964, and from the New York State College of Medicine at Brooklyn in 1968 with a MD. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics in 1971 and was Board Certified in Pediatrics in 1973. She practiced medicine as an allopathic pediatrician until ten years ago when she realized that her patients' ailments were never really cured with antibiotics, etc. etc., but rather suppressed, until the next episode, when they would require the same pharmaceutical medications once again. That realization brought her to the study of homeopathy, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplements. She studied those modalities for two years at the Israel Medical College of Homeopathy, getting her degree in 1996. Dr. Feingold now uses homeopathy, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplements exclusively for her patients (of all ages), all the while understanding the Western medicines they are taking, knowing when it is essential to continue, and helping to discontinue whenever possible.

Philosophy and Comments

Dr. Ellen Feingold believes that one's state of health and well-being is improved whenever the remedy prescription incorporates elements from every aspect of a person's functioning: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, sexual, and social. All patients new to the practice undergo an extensive interview designed to elucidate those aspects. Dr. Feingold also performs a physical examination and reviews laboratory test and imaging examination results, and recommends additional ones when appropriate.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule

The office is open every day from 9-5 but patient appointments are scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The office is open Thursday evening for later appointments. The fee for the first office visit, lasting about an hour and a half, is $180. All follow-up office visits cost $90 for a half hour and $45 for a quarter hour visit. Current patients have telephone and email access to Dr. Feingold for which no fee is charged. Dr. Feingold also performs telephone consultations for patients who are unable to travel to the office for the same fees. Fees are paid at the time of the visit. Checks, cash, Mastercharge and Visa are accepted. Dr. Feingold does not accept insurance payment. Ms. Patti Berk, the office manager gives patients a bill with diagnostic codes that may be submitted to insurance carriers for reimbursement to the patient.
