The Alexander Technique was developed over a hundred years ago and is an educational process taught in most major theater dance and music programs in the world. While remaining an essential part of the Performing Arts, it's application is very valid in the sports arena, as well as computer use and public speaking.

By learning how to recognize and change faulty postural habits, which are often the cause of carpal tunnel, tendonitis, back, neck and knee issues, the Technique is a long term approach to many chronic problems.

Profile and Credentials

I have taught for 7 years, and am a professional violinist and singer.

Josephine has taught the Technique for 5 years to actors at the American Conservatory Theater Summer Congress and to singers at Opera and the Arts for Young Girls. She has also taught the Technique to employees at Chevron/Texaco (IT division)

Philosophy and Comments

Although we are under the Healing category, I want to emphasize the fact that we don't profess to be able to "heal" anyone. We can however, teach a Technique that the student can then apply him/herself. The success of the assimilation of the Technique is dependent somewhat on the student's ability.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule

Very flexible schedule. I teach on weekends as well. I charge $50 a session for 50 mins.
