Sacred Sex - A Path of Union,
Celebration & Wholeness

by Pala Copeland, Tantra Instructor /
4 Freedoms Relationship Tantra
Bring sex and spirit together and find your magic! The idea's definitely not a new one. Ritualized sex has been an acknowledged sacred pathway in Eastern philosophies for several thousand years. Tantra, probably the most commonly known form of sacred sexuality, has its home in branches of the Hindu and Buddhist cultures of India and Tibet. Based on a belief that the union of male and female principles (yin and yang, yab and yum) will lead to enlightenment, traditional Tantra uses a complex series of sounds, visualizations, breath control, and sexual positions combined with prayerful thought to reach the heights of godly bliss. Sacred sex goes far beyond the bedroom, helping partners open fully to each other in trust and love through all facets of their relationship. Your relationship itself becomes a vehicle for spiritual growth and personal awareness.

Seeking, Asking and Knocking:
Steps To the Higher Self

by JoyBeth / Author, Counselor and Spiritual Healer
"Seek and you will find. Ask and you will receive. Knock and the door will be opened." Along the way, I learned that "Seek, Ask, and Knock" were indeed Universal Laws to be utilized in our Earthly lives. At about the same time, I discovered that these laws did indeed work consistently if I sought, asked, and knocked with faith while listening to the spirit or Soul within. My "lower personality" really isn't as knowledgeable as my "Higher Self." I could manifest what I needed by listening to my Soul's guidance and then following through with "doing" on the physical and mental levels. This article gives some practical "how to's" in manifesting what you soulfully need in life.

Holistic Approaches to Arthritis Therapies for Pets

by Shawn Messonnier, DVM / Holistic Veterinarian and Director of Paws & Claws Animal Hospital
There are a number of choices for treating pets with arthritis, as there is truly no one "best" treatment for every pet. I share the holistic belief that each pet is an individual, and must be treated as such. Each owner is different and has different wants and a different budget for the pet. Some owners want to do everything possible for the pet. Cost is not a factor, and we can often experiment and try quite a number of unique treatments. Others opt for a bit less, and may not mind the pet taking medications such as corticosteroids or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for the long haul. Still others never want any medications, but will only opt for more natural therapies. My holistic view, desired by most pet owners, involves looking at all options and choosing what works best with the fewest side effects.

Supporting Others in Transitions:
How You Can Really Help

by Rinatta Paries / Relationship Coach
Think about the last time you had a conversation with someone experiencing sadness or grief. Once the person started sharing his or her emotions, didn't you immediately want to offer encouragement, inspiration or a solution? Most of us do, and we believe we are being supportive by doing this. But while we are busy fixing the person's problems, he or she has just lost the opportunity to be listened to. Telling his or her story and being listened to is vital during times of transition. This article includes some ideas to really help someone experiencing the grief or sadness of a transition. Follow the steps outlined and you will be giving those you cherish a priceless gift.

Bowen Technique Treats Many Chronic Problems

by Jo Anne Whitaker, M.D., Patricia P Gilliam, M. Ed., M.S.N., and Douglas B Seba, Ph.D. / European College of Bowen Studies
The Bowen Technique is a simple, yet highly specific, hands-on procedure which has been widely practised in Australia since its development in the 1950s by Tom Bowen, an industrial engineer. Instruction and training in this methodology has only been delivered outside Australia since 1986, resulting in approximately 1200 accredited Bowen Practitioners in 30 countries throughout the world. The technique is widely practised in Europe with a concentration in the United Kingdom of over 350 accredited practitioners. Bowen Technique procedures were initially directed at acute musculoskeletal complaints such as work- and sports-related injuries. It soon became apparent, however, that these procedures had a demonstrable effect on many chronic medical problems, which include a litany of environmental medical syndromes. These include asthma, hay fever, fibromyalgia, and various types of headaches and other pains.

Homeopathy Effective in Diabetes Treatment

by Dr. Lynn Hardy, N.D. / Director or the Global Institute For Alternative Medicine
Diabetes is a very serious disease, but the treatment doesn't have to be. Lifestyle modifications, weight loss, exercise, along with the right vitamins, supplements, and homeopathic remedies, can make a tremendous difference. Along with the patient's strict compliance to a proper diet, homeopathy can regulate sugar metabolism while helping to resolve metabolic disturbances that lead to diabetes. Furthermore, homeopathy helps stimulate the body's self-healing powers to prevent health conditions related to the illness, such as glaucoma, hardening of the liver, hypertension, depression, atherosclerosis, kidney failure, rheumatic processes, heart disease, etc.

A Tibetan View Of Emotional Healing

by Amchi Thubten Lekshe D.B.M. / Doctor of Tibetan Buddhist Medicine
Tibetan medicine is a holistic science that takes into account many levels of energetic information in its approach to understanding the nature of a particular dis-ease and then using that information to create an energetic answer that will comfort and dissolve the nature of the dis-ease. Therapies include behavioral modification, which can include meditation instruction, spiritual advice, counseling, exercise, or the reorganization of habitual patterns such as sleep habits and eating schedules. Tibetan medicine explains how hatred, anger and aggression, ignorance and a materialist view of the world result in states of mind which are at the root of our physical and psychological suffering, and how our habitual patterns of thinking and behaving are the primary cause of illness. Finally, it asserts that through study and spiritual practice an understanding and awareness can gradually be achieved which transforms that suffering.
