Portland Therapist
Description
As a therapist, I help people feel more comfortable in their own skin.
I offer counseling/therapy for individuals, couples and adult families. I also lead therapy groups that are ongoing, and process oriented.
Together we work on issues of anxiety, depression, communication, relationships, childhood sex abuse, trauma and addictions recovery, and anything that causes distress or discomfort.
Therapy is a great place to get to know yourself better and to become more comfortable with the unknown. These accomplishments can lead toward more authenticity and deeper connections.

Philosophy and Comments
I believe that everyone has the intrinsic capacity to grow and heal--to become the person they want to be. I see myself as a catalyst to this process. It is our innate desire to grow toward the light. I help my clients find and trust their internal guide.
I welcome the whole of the client--their anxiety, fear, anger...all the dark places and all the light.
Work Hours and Fee Schedule
One hour sessions for individuals and couples are $60. I reserve a couple of time slots for low fee clients. Groups meet weekly and are $25 for 1.5 hours.
Self-in-Relation, an ongoing therapy group
In a process group the participants learn about themselves by
consciously observing their relationships with the other group members and through the feedback they receive. Ongoing groups are a great place to do powerfully deep work. Participants get to know and care about eachother over time. Eventually the group
becomes a microcosm of each member's world where new behaviors
can be practiced.
Members of Self-in-Relation:
...learn more about who they are in relation to others;
...see how their words/actions impact other members;
...become more adept at noticing their own reactions;
...learn about intimacy in a safe and therapeutic setting;
...become more authentic—and more fully aLIvE!
Group work is fun, challenging, engaging, powerful, dynamic and just really great!!
