VANCOUVER, WA, JUNE 10, 2004 –– LaurieL Photography has relocated its studio from Orange County, California to Vancouver, Washington, and now services the Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas. Specializing in maternity and newborn photography, LaurieL was the most requested, predominate maternity photographer in Orange County. In addition to maternity, LaurieL photographs children and families with a “photojournalist approach to life”. She has created a line of custom birth announcements that carry over her photographic style of clean line, black & white photography. Custom Holiday cards and Graphic Design are also available.



Featuring all digital equipment, including a digital darkroom, final photographs are enhanced for flawless beauty. With fifteen years of graphic design experience enhancing digital images for media, Laurie has carried this experience over into her photographic work, enhancing pictures to unblemished beauty. Each portrait is a piece of fine art, carefully worked to create stunning, heirloom images. For maternity, and upon request, unwanted stretch marks or veins are removed. Hips, thighs and arms are contoured, so that any unflattering weight gain that may have occurred during pregnancy is minimized. Portland - Friday, February 25th 2005 - High tech targeted marketing and customer service has put one new Vancouver business into the black in an otherwise suffering market - independent studio photography. When Laurie Ludes moved from Southern California to Vancouver in the last spring, she was concerned that her maternity photography business would not succeed in a smaller market with fewer contacts. But she and her busband were determined to stay in the Northwest where they felt they could give their children a better life.



When she worked as a maternity photographer in California, Ludes didn't do any advertising but instead realied completely on word of mouth. Ludes continues to bank her business on referrals, only this time she's the one getting the word out about her photography studio, called LaurieL Photography.





I do not do yellow page or print ads," said Ludes. "I will walk up to someone I see in (a department store) and give them my card."



She also finds her target audience at maternity classes. Ludes gave eight free sittings to the maternity yoga instructor at her gym and asked the woman to give them away to students. Those students have referred other pregnant women to Ludes. She also gives "freebies" to her neighbors and parents at her children's schools...(con'td)

Vancouver, WA - Monday, September 12th 2005 - LaurieL Photography has donated her time and talent to "The Giving House" in the 2005 Parade of Homes (Washougal, WA).



All proceeds from the sale of The Giving House (built by John Fazzolari-custom home builder), will be donated to two shelters in the Vancouver, WA area. YW Housing, and Open House Ministries...both shelters for women and children.



"I'm proud to be part of this wonderful project - to be able to give back to the community. This house is absolutly beautiful...and I'm honored to display my work within it."



The Parade of Homes runs from August 19th, 2005 - September 5th, 2005.

Portland, OR - Sunday, February 12th 2006 - LaurieL Photography was featured on KATU, channel 2's AM NorthWest on October 19, 2005. This informative segment spotlighted LaurieL photographing Katie Harman, Miss America 2002 and her newest addition...baby Tyler Ebner.



LaurieL also spoke on "how to get the best pictures possible" and provided some helpful hints on photographing your baby.

Vancouver, WA - Saturday, February 11th 2006 - The Woman's Clinic of Vancouver has chosen LaurieL Photography as their photographer of choice to display and decorate the walls of their newly opened Salmon Creek office.



On exhibit, are approximately 30 pieces of beautiful, stunning portraits including maternity, newborns and children.
