March 10th 2014 - Personality of Place
Soul of a City
Earth is conditioned to create platforms of personality expression that our light flows through, as we learned in Soul Expression, Karma, Pets and other past recordings.
In this CD we come to understand how our collective consciousness also forms community personalities wherever humans live together for long periods of time, like layers of blueprints that build a history and a personal expression of existence.
Cities have distinct personalities formed by the landscape and the collective charge of expression that the humans living there create.
We get to 'meet' some interesting Cities and get a feel for how to 'see' them.
It is interesting to reflect on how we are influenced by the countries, towns and cities we live in.
Once again, the Council broadens our awareness of who we are and what we are creating here in ways that are new and exciting. We truly are co-creators!
Personalities of Cities
1) How can a city have a personality?
2) How does climate and geography define the personality development?

6) Who is.. Venice?
7) Berlin, effects of war and division.
8) New York, commerce and pizzazz.

“Cities were always like people, showing their varying personalities to the traveler. Depending on the city and on the traveler, there might begin a mutual love, or dislike, friendship, or enmity. Where one city will rise a certain individual to glory, it will destroy another who is not suited to its personality. Only through travel can we know where we belong or not, where we are loved and where we are rejected.” ― Roman Payne, Cities & Countries
Reflections on this month's CD...
Each city expression has it’s own platform of personality that changes and grows over time. The landscape, the geography and the nature of the people living there integrate to create a distinct personality essence. It is steeped into the architectures and roadways, holding the emotional charge and experiences of all who have lived there, echoing through the ages and influencing each new generation.
As a descendant of settlers who colonized the lands that I live on, I wondered about the original founders of the city personalities here, the first peoples of lets say Toronto.
I suppose they would be the original architects of personality for that city and would be the true ‘founding Mothers and Fathers’ of most colonized cities.
What has been brought here in the collective expressions of peoples from so many lands has truly created a unique cosmopolitan personality that is tangible as you view the unique neighborhoods of Toronto.
I wonder what the original founders of Toronto would say about their current chosen leader Mr. Ford!

Shopping NOT for the landfill site!!
Gift Ideas that won’t go to the landfill sites!
A play, a movie, an adventure together set for a later date. You can put a package together to be unwrapped that incorporates the gift, for instance a backpack with essentials for whatever adventure you are gifting, or opera glasses and tickets, or a silk scarf to be worn when you go for your evening out, or whatever creative ideas you come up with for the special time you are gifting.
A donation to Kiva was my favourite gift from ten years ago. This organization makes no interest loans to help people with their businesses, farms and personal development. As they pay back their loans you get to re-lend the money to someone else of your choice, making it a lifetime of gifting. I have added to the gift over the years and continue to help start up businesses and support families and farms all over the world Here is a link. www.kiva.org
You can gift a goat, a year of school, a midwife for a village, or anything you would want from so many Aid organizations right online. They all make it easy to give so you may be starting a relationship of giving that will continue for decades!
Trees to be planted in the spring, apple, maple, or berry bushes.
A wonderful gift for kids who live in rural settings or have big back yards could be tools and seeds and a promise of help to start their first garden!
For urban kids you can give mini greenhouses for balconies, window boxes and bean seeds for houses, or a plot in a community garden. Get creative with growing things!
Gift for a family could be a CSA food share for the next year. Community Shared Agriculture is in essence hiring an organic farmer to grow your food, buying in to a ‘share’ of the harvest each season.
I have been gifting this to my daughter’s family for a few years now from Chic-a-biddy farms and it really is lovely to see this gift keep giving all summer long. Google CSA to find some in your area!
A course, a workshop, a haircut, a spa day, for the adults on your list, or dance classes, sports, martial arts, and give the outfit and the ride there and back for the kids on your list. This gives you a special time with the little ones in your life too, a double gift!
And of course, (shameless plug alert!) a wonderful gift to yourself and those you love, is a gift of awareness! A subscription or an offering of a few favourites from our new MP3 download formats or hard copy CDs, or our Weavers Of Light book!
A gift of health with an appointment with Wendy!
A gift of enlightenment with one of Krow's classes, a tarot session or a personal reading!
No trees were killed or fossil fuels spent, only a few electrons are a bit disturbed as you upload them the mp3s making that choice the greenest offering. Here On Earth, gifts for a lifetime!
“By its nature, the metropolis provides what otherwise could be given only by traveling; namely, the strange.” ― Jane Jacobs
The Journey
Ephemeris knowledge
portends what may be.
Grey beards stroked in contemplation
congeal in consensus of action;
ancient charts map the azimuth,
and the blest journey begins.
Centuries in waiting,
ancestral preparations complete,
three generations of priestesses
spin their skeins in readying.
Hand to belly, the youngest
smiles up at her husband
and she nods.
Trusting cosmic knowing
he prepares the mules
and they travel three days
to the nadir
where wise men gather
to the sacred feminine.
