NeuroEnergetic Release® (NER) is a unique whole-istic system that works at the interface of the neurological, energetic, and muscular systems of the body. This is not repackaged material. The intent is always to gently facilitate the body's natural, self-correcting response rather than force a change.

NER is a powerful bodywork and manual therapy system used in clinic and hospital settings for pain relief, injury rehab., and a wide range of health issues. This system can help kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis and their associated pain. Dramatic structural change related to back and neck pain routinely happens in one session (such as: a head forward posture of 1-3 inches moving back to neutral, an ant. pelvic tilt moving 10-25 degrees post., a high hip or shoulder balancing and remaining stable).

NER works by correcting core distortion patterns. This is a pattern of compensations, distortions and asymmetries that is held in the whole body from head to foot, fingertips to toes. These patterns are held to some extent on all the planes of our existence including physical (muscular), energetic (nervous & energy systems) and emotional. Core distortion pattern’s are behind most of the pain and dysfunction we feel in our bodies and effect all the bodily systems including how well your digestive system works or how fast your heart beats.

This work is very non-invasive and facilitates a release rather than trying to force a change. To start a structural and palpatory analysis is used to find distortions and asymmetries in a person's body. This allows us to determine a person's core distortion pattern. This analysis tells us where to look for NER points that are holding the structure in a faulty position. It also gives us objective measurements to gauge effectiveness. We then find two corresponding NER points that are holding this pattern in different parts of the body. As the correct NER points are stimulated the abnormal tension in the muscle and soft tissue almost instantly disappears (within a second). Muscles regain their natural resting length, the skeletal system balances, spasm releases and normal circulation returns. Both the client and therapist can feel this rapid release and the resulting structural change can also be observed.

Clients have fewer symptoms, feel less tension and pain, and have greater energy and ease of movement. Posture improves dramatically and asymmetries such as a high shoulder, hip or ear balance. In most cases this structural change and reduction of symptoms are substantial and long lasting. This technique restores balance to the body with great ease and efficiency and with little or no discomfort.

He has taught his professional bodywork seminars since 1992 and his healing system and philosophy of Neuroenergetic Release® since 1994. He presents programs nationally to Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and other health professionals. Don first became interested in manual therapy and bodywork after he experienced its healing effects following a back injury. In 1988 he graduated valedictorian from the Lakeside School of Natural Therapeutics in Milwaukee, WI. Don studied advance anatomy and physiology in a Premed. curriculum at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also has advance studies in a wide variety of energy and structural bodywork systems.
