As a Health Counselor, I am your personal advocate for living an energized and passionate life. Whatever your concerns are, my job is to help you find which food and lifestyle choices will work best for you and the life you desire. When diet changes, everything changes. A true holistic approach to life incorporates things that nourish you other than food, including honest and open relationships, a meaningful spiritual practice, a career that inspires you, and physical activity that you enjoy. These elements are called Primary Food. As a Health Counselor, I will work with you to help you find balance in both Primary Foods and the foods you eat on a daily basis. Could one conversation change your life?

I invite you to schedule an initial consultation to discuss your health history, your concerns and goals, as well as what you have always imagined for your life. This session is a great way for you to get a feel for how I work with clients, and to see if we are a good match.

I welcome you to consider having this conversation. It could very well be a turning point in your life. Are you in?

Having fun

Like most of us, you have probably tried a variety of diets, and may even have managed to do well on some for a few weeks or even months. However, the emphasis such diets place on willpower, deprivation and denial is both unnecessary and counter-productive. The reality is that, unless you have a plan that is practical, works with your lifestyle and takes your individuality into account, it will not last. I can help you to create such a plan.

Conventional dietary theories present you with food restrictions and limitations that are difficult to sustain over time. Such quick fixes do nothing to help you achieve life-long wellness nor do they bring out the body’s natural inclination toward balance. Together, we will introduce new and healthful foods and activities, gently and slowly. As you start to feel better, these habits have a natural tendency to take hold and ease out the less healthful ones.

As you become more physically fit, other areas of your life such as relationships, career and creativity start to improve. You will naturally begin to crave those foods and activities that make you feel better, and to make time in your life for those things that are truly important to you.

In our first consultation we will discuss your unique situation in depth and determine how I can help you reach your personal goals. We will be able to see if we are a good match and if this approach will work for you. Even this first session will demonstrate how a holistic, individualized approach can make a major difference in your life.

I decided to create Bountiful Living Wellness to ensure that people have a safe, caring, and fun place to learn how to live in a way that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit. I am a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Yoga Instructor, and Massage Therapist. My mission is to inspire people to take control of their health by creating healthy new relationships and habits with food and balanced living.

I have been actively involved in the healing arts for the past 12 years. I began my journey and education with my own health struggles. I spent years searching to find natural remedies for dealing with my hypoglycemia, migraine headaches, and intestinal problems. This first led me to yoga and meditation. It was with this first step that I began my journey toward learning how organic healing foods, massage, and other natural healing modalities can change your life.

After receiving my BA in Dance and Movement therapy and dancing with a dance company in Northern California, I moved to Arizona and got my degree in Occupational Therapy and worked at an acute rehab hospital. It was then that I immersed myself into yoga and healthy eating in order to heal my migraines and hypoglycemia.

When I moved to Virginia, I decided to leave the Occupational Therapy world and continue to immerse myself into other healing arts because I still didn’t have a good handle on my digestive problems and i knew that there was so much more to learn. I finished up my yoga teacher training program, went to massage school, and then graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Dr Andrew Weil, Dr Walter Willet, Sally Fallon, David Wolfe, and Marc David. Since graduating, I have continued my studies getting my certification in Raw Food with Alissa Cohen, and completed a 5 month course with Marc David on the Psychology of Eating and Soul Based Nutrition.

I am so pleased to report that my digestive issues have cleared up, my migraines went from 1 a month to maybe 2-3 times a year. My hypoglycemia is gone and my energy levels are up and remain consistent!

I now use all of my healing tools and knowledge when working with others to help people cultivate the life they were meant to live…full of vitality, energy, health, wellness, and bliss!
