Philosophy and Comments
I have always had a close connection, love and respect for animals and have been communicating with them all my life. After one of my canines “Blaze” was having medical issues , I decided to pursue connecting and balancing her on a higher level. I specialize in behavior issues and balancing. There are many ways we can communicate with animals, but it all boils down to one thing-relationship. This means communicating in an honest and loving manner.
Our classes are designed to help you and your family to establish a leadership role with your dog that will strengthen the bond between all of you.
To do this effectively, we have designed a training program that will increase your understanding of how dogs learn, how they communicate, and how you can effectively use this knowledge to train your dog in a gentle and rewarding way. Our training program is based on solid scientific principles and relies on the proven effectiveness of positive reinforcement and clicker training. The beauty of this method is that it is not “cookie cutter” training; it is customized for each family and dog to ensure you have the perfect training tools for your dog. These methods do not require “hours per day” of training – you will simply use them whenever you are interacting with your dog – even if it’s just for a few minutes. We’ve designed our training program to fit into your everyday life.
Our trainers work with you on individual basis in class, helping each family work with his/her dog in a one-on-one manner. For dogs who require a quieter environment, private sessions can be arranged.
You will be amazed at how quickly your dog will respond to you when you use our training methods. By creating a safe, gentle, and most of all fun, learning environment, Positive Paws will help you to make your dog a welcome and successful member of your family.

WHAT IS A COMMUNICATION CONSULT?
During the communication consult some common questions asked are:
*What is causing the undesirable behavior?
* How does your body feel? Any imbalance?
* Do you have a message or any advice for me?
* What is your purpose?
* Is my animal ready to pass over?
You can also use this time to convey a message or information to your animal(s).
Consults performed by appointment, in person, or over the phone. Call to schedule your consult today.
All of us have the ability. It is a matter of opening the door to those senses and using them daily. When you recognize animals as fellow spiritual beings with their own unique qualities and gifts, you will open the channel that allows communication to flow. This class is a 4 week class with each session lasting approximately two hours.

Canine Underwater Treadmill
Just as water exercise is beneficial to people, it can also benefit your canine!
My goal is to help improve your dog’s quality of life! The treadmill is wonderful to enhance general fitness. The warm water provides relaxation and low impact exercise.
Some of the benefits include muscle development, retraining, and conditioning, and it is fun!
Water exercise will help maintain exercise for fitness year-round. Your dog will have fun getting into shape and lose those extra pounds.
Warm water relaxes your dog to reduce stiffness, making movement easier and more comfortable.

The Usui Reiki System of Natural Balancing for people and animals
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a natural balancing art that involves interacting with Universal Life Force Energy. It is NOT a religion and envelopes all cultures and religions In fact, the Japanese word means “Universal Spirit Energy”. The meaning is the same as CHI in traditional Chinese medicine or Prana in India. Thought to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago, this balancing process was rediscovered in the 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Christian educator and monk, during his quest to learn how to reconnect with Divine Wholeness.
Animal energy balancing with Traditional Reiki balances for The Highest Good. It is also very relaxing for your pets, and they love to have it done!

Training & Behavior Modification
At Positive Paws, we offer a variety of classes to meet the needs of dogs and owners of all ages. In fact, we encourage the whole family to come and be involved with the dog's training. After all, the dog is a part of the family. We have limited class sizes of six to eight dogs to ensure individual attention for each dog and owner throughout the training session.
If you do not feel comfortable in a class setting or would like to work on behavior or aggression issues, we do offer private sessions outside of our normal classes. To discuss your specific needs, please contact us by phone: (513)312-6596. Private sessions are designed to provide individualized instruction to fit your needs. They will be scheduled for your convenience and can be provided at your home or our training facility.
BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENT CONSULT
This is a private session to help determine issues that are affecting your dog. There are a number of considerations to look at when dealing with behavioral issues. First rule out any medical issues with your veterinarian. Identify environmental factors that may be affecting the behavior. This will allow us to develop a plan to enable your success with behavior modification.
Behavior modification addresses the underlying reasons for the problem behaviors. This enables you to teach your dog not to do the behavior and to replace it with a desired one! Obedience classes they are not designed to effectively address severely disruptive dog behaviors. For example if a dog is fearful teaching a sit does not resolve the fear issues.
Behavior modification provides techniques that can help with issues such as fear, aggression, house breaking, separation anxiety, chewing on furniture and barking.
