Catherine Classen MLT became aware of the importance of good diet and the healing of massage therapy in addressing dis-ease while overcoming breast cancer in 1989.
She opened Compassionate Hands Healing Center on her organic farm outside Washington DC. She graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 1998. In 2000, agfter moving to the Asheville area, she began a new organic farm and has opened The Cottage of Compassionate Hands as a place of quiet healing for all.
