    • Profile and Credentials        

    Catherine Classen MLT became aware of the importance of good diet and the healing of massage therapy in addressing dis-ease while overcoming breast cancer in 1989.

    She opened Compassionate Hands Healing Center on her organic farm outside Washington DC. She graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 1998. In 2000, agfter moving to the Asheville area, she began a new organic farm and has opened The Cottage of Compassionate Hands as a place of quiet healing for all.

    Work Hours and Fee Schedule        

    We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am until 7pm with appointments available outside of these hours with 24 hours notice.

    We will also schedule outcalls to your home or hotel.

    Hot Stone Therapy

    Deep penetrating, moist heat applied using our smooth basalt stones. Relaxes the muscles and expands blood vessels creating a calming effect on the nervous system.

    Craniosacral Therapy

    Establish the normal rhythm of teh cerebral spinal fluid, which impacts the brain, nerves, pituitary and endocrine system.

    Lymphatic Drainage
    Basic Lymphatic Drainage 75 mins $55.00
    Light Pressure over the entire body aids our body's natural clensing system to remove toxic buildup of cellular wastes.

    Pregnancy Massage

    Couples Massage

    2 tables in our therapy room. Relax together.

    Four Hand Massage

    2 therapists work in a tandem dance of relaxation.

    Chinese Cupping Therapy
    30 mins. $45.00
    Glass ups and heat are used to break up deep adhesions. Ideal when used together with a 1 hr massage.


    Body Treatments        

    Organic, Salt or Sugar Glow w/ Essential Oils

    A blend of Dead Sea Salts or Alpha Hydroxy Sugar is used to gently exfoliate and soften your skin. Following a warm shower your skin is moisturized.

    Botanical Mud Wrap
    75 min $75
    Natural clay detoxifies and softens your skin. After application you are wrapped in a warming blanket and receive a relaxing head and neck massage. Following a warm shower your skin is moisturized.

    Hot Stone with Salt or Sugar Glow
    2 1/2 hrs. $150.00

    Swedish Massage
    One hour relaxation massage and salt or mud warp. 2 1/2 hours $130.00.
