We believe students who are well educated in the clinical and scientific aspects of bodywork make better therapists. Therefore, we provide challenging and comprehensive courses in anatomy, physiology, pathology, structural kinesiology, postural analysis, and theory. Because we also believe that individuals who are aware and accepting of their inner worlds are more responsible healers, we provide students opportunities to explore their emotional and spiritual lives in a supportive environment. This framework provides a basis for working multidimensionally in bodywork. By placing an emphasis on quality of touch and centeredness in Swedish Massage, and on sensitivity of palpation and multi-dimensional causes of pathology in Neuromuscular Therapy, we ground academic knowledge in the physical realm. We believe that having "good hands" is a skill that can be taught and emphasize quality of touch in all our modalities.
