“Music of the Soul that Speaks to the Heart” from acclaimed Flutes of the World international composer, musician and intuitive Maria Kostelas.

After training as a classical flutist which included the master classes of Jean Pierre Rampal and James Galway, Maria’s travels and explorations into diverse cultural traditions moved her to expand her musical direction to include her current work as a composer, flutist, sound healer, intuitive, and workshop leader. She has since studied flute with master musicians and shaman from several world traditions including Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai.

Maria Kostelas’ live and recorded music has been heard around the globe. From Japan to Australia, Russia, Mexico and the Caribbean, her contemporary fusion of world and healing classical new age music entertains listeners worldwide. Referred to as the “Pied Piper of the Soul” by Shape magazine and Healing Retreats and Spas magazine, Maria has just recorded a 2004 New Year’s Meditation CD with actress and author Shirley MacLaine.

Through the use of her profound musical, sound healing and intuitive skills Maria is able to create highly individualized, sensitive and beautiful melodies. She has become known for her memorable concerts, workshops and private sessions. A featured performer at international conferences and events including the International Spa and Fitness Association Annual Convention and the Yoga Journal’s Caribbean Cruise, Maria's clients have included celebrities, teachers, doctors, lawyers, health practitioners, detectives, spa guests, and students among others.

Maria has released 7 original CDs and has composed several commissioned works including a CD for the World Presidents Organization. She resides in Santa Monica, CA.

A personal song of healing is performed and recorded to bring awareness, understanding, and transformation. The unique presence and personal energy of each person is Maria’s inspiration. She uses her sound healing, intuitive and empathic skills for each original personal song. Her music helps to gently remove negativity and replaces it with positive healing energy.

INDIVIDUALS
Maria first selects up to 5 flutes for your personal song. Beautiful melodies become the musical expression of the best of who you are. The session invites a transformational experience on emotional, physical and spiritual levels. As she plays each flute, images and scenes from your life appear to her that give Maria an intuitive, deeper understanding of your key issues. After she finishes the performance of your song, she describes what she has seen and gives you the steps you can take now to create the life you want to live, with your soul, on purpose.

COUPLES
Maria individually selects flutes from her collection to compose Personal Love Songs. Through the use of her profound musical, sound healing and intuitive skills Maria is able to create highly individualized, sensitive and beautiful melodies. One of her featured instruments, the Native American “Lakota Courting Flute” has been used for hundreds of years to express and attract love.

Maria first performs an individual song for each person. Take delight! This is NOT relationship therapy – there is no focus on what’s “wrong” or “needs fixing.” Instead the couple celebrates their relationship with an entertaining and healing musical experience.
