Change.....

Change is difficult. Even when we want to change, it is a challenge. One change leads to another, and then, everything seems too hard, so we resort back to old patterns; what is comfortable.

There are ways to make change easier. With practice, specific techniques can help us to overcome the seemingly insurmoutable obstacles that we perceive to be in our way.

As your coach I can provide the expertise, support and structure to help you continue to move forward as you work through the changes in your life. And before you know it, the change is no longer the challenge but your choice.

Focused coaching is also available for Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Educators who are struggling to find a balance within their career while coping with the challenges of today's professional, and/or find a balance between their career and their home.

Coaching for Educators

No Child Left Behind, increased standardized testing, fewer graduates to replace retiring teachers and budget cuts are just a few of the challenges facing those who are charged with the education of our youth.

My background in community health education, as well as my experience as a department chair in a community college, overseeing early childhood education and teachers prep programs has provided me with a strong grasp of the challenges in education. Add to that having raised two children who attended both public and private schools.

Let me help you find the tools to regain your passion for your field, or take the steps to make a change to re-discover the passion that you had when you began in your profession.

Coaching for Nurses and Allied Health Workers

Most of my career has been either in working in the health care field, or teaching future health care works, including nurses, laboratory technicians, respiratory therapists and others.

My experience in hospitals such as the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health, the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center a teaching institution, the Veterans Adminstration a well as smaller acute care facilities provides me with a unique perspective of the needs and struggles associated with decreased resources and increased demands.

Whether looking for tools to help you cope with these changes, or considering a career change, I can help you re-discover the passion that brought you to your field or help you to determine the path toward your next career.
