The Minerva Educational Center was founded in 1995 to promote public awareness of the various options offered in the field of Holistic and Complementary Medicine. The center offers workshops, seminars and conducts meetings to further this goal. Many of these seminars are developed to be offered either at the Minerva location in Honesdale PA or at alternate sites.
Profile and Credentials
Dr Betty deMaye-Caruth has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years (PA Lic RN318575L) She holds a MA in Education and a PhD in Holistic Health. Her interest in holistic medicine has led her to become certified in Healing Touch, Aromatherapy, and Reiki. She also incorporates Flower Essences, Therapeutic Touch and Integrated Energy Therapy in her private practice. Dr deMaye-Caruth offers various seminars regarding holistic health at health care facilities, universities, colleges and corporations. As a consultant to the media, she has appeard on PBS and local news programs and often serves as a keynote speaker for various organizations. In 1995 she founded the Minerva Educational Center to promote public awareness of complementary healthcare options through workshops, meetings and publications.Currently, Dr deMaye-Caruth is a member of the US Army Reserve, Business and Professional Women and is the President of the Honesdale Rotary Club.
