Profile and Credentials

Holistic Esthetics Department

Naturopathy is a system of treatments mainly employing natural agencies such as air, water, sunshine, nutrition & herbs. A naturopathic (holistic) approach rejects anything that interferes with nature or natural processes, such as invasive techniques or drugs. A major aspect of naturopathy is treating the original cause of a disease/imbalance or disorder by viewing symptoms for just what they are, natural consequences of the original problem.

Philosophy and Comments

Over 30 years of tested and proven skin care that heals "Inside & Out"! With the Talismae Spa Logic Concepts, technicians learn to read the internal state of the body and apply tapping or vibrational techniques for visable differences on the face of clients. Dr Allen has just launched this new healing procedure for licensed estheticians & massge thereapists who get certified and licensed in Talismae Spa-logic Concepts.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule

The Talismae College is OPEN daily (No Sundays) and by appointment for Interviews.

ALL of our classes are also on-line in holistic spa medicine. Just North of the Colorado capital Building, easy access to buslines and local business's.

The Naturopathic Creed is centered on the following values:

1. Use natures innate healing power to create homeostasis

2. Do not harm

3. Identify and treat the cause

4. Treat the whole person (body, mind and spirit)

5. Prevent illness/imbalance

Naturopathic treatments involve the following areas;

1. Nutrition

2. Herbs & Supplements

3. Physical Therapy (manipulations, heat/cold application, hydrotherapy, electrical impulses, ultrasound, etc)

4. Homeopathy Medicine is based on the concept that “like” substances cure like.

5. Oriental Medicine & Diagnostics (Chinese medicine, Acupuncture, Ayurveda)

National Certifications & Association memberships

Naturopathy in Esthetics

An Esthetician choosing to practice skin care from a naturopathic standpoint would follow the naturopathic creed and incorporate those values into his/her work.

1. Use natures innate healing power

Quick-fix drugs such as anti-biotics, Accutane or cortisone used regularly by dermatologist for treatment of chronic skin conditions would not be a solution. The esthetician would encourage clients to work holistically and naturopathically

2. Treat the whole person (mind, body and spirit)

Most skin problems/imbalances are symptoms of other underlying causes. An evaluation of the causes of these problems/imbalances would naturally be the next step.

3. Prevent illness

The esthetician would view his/herself as a valuable resource in preventative health care by teaching clients that healthy skin involves the health of the individual.

4. Do not harm

A naturopathic esthetician would refrain from the use of products, methods and equipment that could possible harm or that are not considered holistic.

A naturopathic esthetician would integrate these principles into his/her working philosophy and encourage clients to seek further help regarding their health by visiting a naturopathic physician.

Anti-Naturopathic qualities are:

1. Petroleum oil (mineral oil)

2. Perfumes

3. Dyes (color aids)

4. Products grown with pesticides & hormones

5. Synthetic ingredients that do not break down in the body/skin

There are different products on the market that will fit the value system of the naturopathic esthetician in a wide variety of formulations that range from “organic whole foods” to just under the radar with the FDA with highly active ingredients. Then there is hybrids of formulas and philosophies, from very pure and natural to high anti-oxidants skin care products that produce dramatic results, but use technology and patented formulas to do so.

Talismae College is where Beauty meets Medicine, and Medicine meets God!
