I'm a married mother of two. I used to work as a biologist for the National Park service and Fish and Wildlife Service. Then, having my first child changed my life and my career!

I attend trainings and conferences whenever I can. I'm currently enrolled in the Happiest Baby on the Block Instructor Program. I'm also a:

Birth Doula (DONA certification pending)
Childbirth Educator (ALACE certification pending)
Hypno-doula (HypBirth and Hypnobabies)
Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation (American Academy of Pediatrics)

I follow the DONA and DASC scope of practice and ethics statements.

There is nothing better than helping a mom find her own inner strength to birth the way she wants. My main mission in service of pregnant parents is to support women in their informed choices, reduce fear, and help parents combine information with intuition. I am in awe of the strength of women, they often don't see it coming, but they have it!
I am a supporter of informed consent and reducing unecessary cesareans.
I encourage all mothers to obtain the best preparation for their goals. I have a lot of information on my website including local hospital and birth center info. Please look around and use what applies to you. I look forward to serving you in any way I can.

The Aquadoula Birth Tub-is a generously sized portable birth tub with heaters to keep the water warm for up to two days. It is deep enough for a pregnant mom to be submerged and big enough for a support person to be in the tub with the waterbirth mom. 54" Diameter, 24" high.

The "Fishy" Pool- The more economical home birth option, This pool is used by many waterbirth moms.

It is 22" high, 60" diameter and has an inflatable padded floor. 106 gallon capacity at 80% full. I have a few of these birth pools and I'm trying to decide whether to rent or sell them. Please contact me with your preference.
